在这淘汰率快速且变化多端的摇滚乐坛中，能成军超过15个寒暑，并且愈战愈勇，后势强劲的团体，已不多见了，但这组来自纽约水牛城由Johnny Rzeznik(主唱/吉他)、Robby Takac (贝斯)与Mike Malinin (鼓手)三位所组成的Goo Goo Dolls却以他们扎实的表演水准，引领独特流畅的音乐潮流经历15个年头至今仍然屹立不摇！
1985年便成军的Goo Goo Dolls以原始的团名The Sex Maggots加上原始鼓手George Tutuska在各个俱乐部中以专门翻唱别人作品的摇滚团四处走唱。很快的他们于97年被一家专门出版重金属摇滚的厂牌Metal Blade签入旗下发行首张同名专辑，陆续的在87-90年间发行了三张专辑，直到93年的专辑《Superstar Car Wash》的发行，终于以单曲“We Are The Normal”进驻现代摇滚榜并打开知名度，获得乐界一致好评。
日益成熟的作品，更加流畅的旋律让95年的第五张专辑不但销售一举大破两百万张，单曲“Name”更是挺进流行单曲榜Top 5。此时原鼓手George Tutuska求去换上新任鼓手Mike Malinin接着他们整装再出发，继续绽放灿烂火花，发行了他们于乐坛中立下的新里程碑专辑《Dizzy Up The Girl》辑中一曲为电影《City Of Angels》所谱写的作品“Iris”不但稳坐点播榜18周冠军，更入围41届格莱美最佳年度唱片、年度歌曲及最佳流行演唱团体三项大奖提名，整个90年可说是Goo Goo Dolls开花结果丰收的年代！

听摇滚的大概都知道这支乐队,流行金属.有一两张专辑卖的不错.
